Every year I scroll through Instagram admiring all of the December daily layouts on my feed, wishing that I could have done one. If you have no idea what December daily is, it’s basically scrapbooking your way through December for every day of the season, capturing every moment possible, but the best thing to do is have a little search on Pinterest, and then you will get a great idea of December daily. I never thought I would have the time to be able to do one, but now that I am self employed I get to have so much more time to myself. Now I will admit, I probably won’t do every day of December, but I will make sure to capture all the little details that will make our family Christmas- special. I did a lot of youtube watching on how to prepare for my project, and it seems the best take on it is to get all your gear together in one place and be prepared.  I have bought so much stuff for this project, it will probably last me a few years! I first went through all of my stash to see what could be used for Christmas, which included bits and pieces like sequins, gold alphas etc and pulled them all out and popped them into a basket, so that I when it comes to working on my project I can just use this basket and won’t have to go through all my gear. I then popped to my local craft stores and bought what seems like, everything and anything christmassy that caught my eye. When it comes to paper craft I love to mix styles so don’t often stick to one brands range when crafting. I did however take a liking to the Simple Stories Merry & Bright kit, which is what I wanted to share with you in this post, as I thought it might not be as intimidating if you are new to paper craft or project life. The range is really cute with a retro nod, lots of red, green and Kraft board. I didn’t purchase the binder to match as it was out of stock but I did purchase the simple stories Sn@p! striped holiday binder which I actually think was a better choice for me as I love how I have been able to decorate the front. The Santa, Christmas flowers and happy holidays embellishments are from the merry and bright range. The wooden stars are from Hobby Craft which I have added glitter to, because its not Christmas if you don’t use glitter every day, duh! I love the little string lights I picked up from the range, they only cost £1.99 and I still have about 4/5 of the pack left, in the past I’ve been really precious with embellishments I love, and basically never ended up using them, but this past year I’ve learnt to just bloody stick ’em down- I can always buy more 😉 And lastly the white sparkles placed along the fabric strip are also from the Range and I found these on the value craft part, it doesn’t show in these photos but oh my do they twinkle!
So as you can see I have my binder all ready to go, and every few days I sit and add extra glitter and decoration to some of my embellishments in prep for when I finally have some images to get me started on my December Daily. I plan on sharing my process through December so make sure to keep checking back!

Will you be taking part in December Daily? Have you don’t it before, I’d love to know!
