Okay I’ll be totally honest, normally when I am on the moors it is brutal, we love to go when the weather is rough, I am not dressed fashionable, and my hair is not tidy. However I really wanted to add a few outfits to my wardrobe that have a country vintage feel, keep me warm in the autumn, look great for the photo album (this was our Lake District trip) but I also don’t want to stand out as a diva in the middle of the countryside – haha!
I managed to find everything I am wearing in the photo at the charity stores. The gorgeous jumper with leaf and berry embroidery is actually by a brand called Tulchan from the Lake District, unfortunately I don’t think they are still in business, but the quality is excellent and it only cost me £3 and its 100% cotton! I’ve teamed it with a fatface blouse that has a frill collar, I wanted to layer and bring a little more style to the jumper, the blouse was only £3 as well, and I put it under so many tops and dresses. I always feel like round necks are not my thing, I feel frumpy in them, but with a collar it totally transforms how I feel! The skirt was also…£3 and is an 80’s skirt that has probably come from some old dears wardrobe, but when teamed with the right items, hopefully I’ve managed to channel the granny chic correctly. I always look at all sizes when I’m thrifting, as with only one of each item, you can’t really afford to miss something because you assume the size won’t fit! This skirt is actually a size 14 and I wear an 8 or a 10 for comfort, but being an older size, it just literally needed a belt to bring the waist in that little bit. I love the length for autumn and think it’s really flattering, I added a mens leather vintage belt I bought for 50p, always worth looking at the mens belt as thats where I seem to find all the good quality ones. Lastly the boots are by a brand called Tamaris, this brand is a good brand! When I was at school, my school shoes were Tamaris, they were so comfortable and perfect for my narrow feet, I got them when I was 15, and I carried on wearing them for my Saturday job at the Disney store for nearly 5 years after I left school! So when I saw this brand new pair of Tamaris boots for only £6 I knew I had to have them. They were probably around £100 to buy so definitely a score! I can confirm as well they are so comfortable, even on the first wear they felt perfect!

The grand total of this outfit was £15.50 and when you think that also includes brand new boots, I think we can cal this  a winner!

Much Love
