Some times its the simple things in life that get us by, and during this pandemic it seems to be that we are all discovering what it is that makes us happy. Some of us don’t have access to those things in these circumstances and this whole lock down is too much to handle! Some of us have always loved the little things at home in our day to day lives and this is us thriving, and some of us are discovering new joys around us.
My garden and being creative are two of the main things that have kept me going these past few years. I’m a home bird anyway, but I do miss the countryside and hunting for vintage finds, and of course I miss Nathan, but I am really enjoying the smallest of things at home.
I was kind of already on my own little journey before this pandemic, all you have to do is look at my Instagram style and see how it’s changed. I no longer try to fit in anywhere, I just go along with me, I spend my time doing the things I love, not what every one else loves… maybe I need to do another post on this change! But this extra time at home has given me time to stop and do what makes me happy. I spend hours in the garden watching the birds, getting overly excited when we have a new visitor, rushing to get one of my vintage bird books to see what it is! I spend hours caring for the plants, and picking a few every week to press and add to my pressed collection –  I’ve even started a garden journal.
I am so happy in my own whimsical bubble, and these small details are what makes me happy. I’ve decided it’s time to start posting more on here, I’ve been on and off with my blog for several years now, kind of lost in what it was, what my goal was, who it was for, I may even delete a lot of old posts and start a new!. I used to think I needed huge posts full of content and reason, but sometimes it really is just the small things, a few creative photos that gave me 20 minutes of joy to create, no reason for them, but just because I wanted to post them online – I mean, it is my blog after all.

Much Love
